Formed in 1997 after the demise of Warrior Soul, Kory Clarke’s glam rock experiment known as “Space Age Playboys” had a three year run which produced one studio record and one live record.
Warrior Soul was a politically charged band; they came before Rage Against The Machine and did their best to expose the corruption in the political system but failed. Warrior Soul’s catalog was re-released/remastered several years ago but the Space Age Playboys material remained untouched until now.
Jet Glow Recordings will be releasing a new version of the bands only studio release, “New Rock Underground” in June of 2020 and it will include new artwork with bonus tracks. “New Rock Underground” will be released on Vinyl, CD, Cassette, and on all digital platforms.
Static-X did a live chat via their official website on May 24, 2020. Fans asked Xero non-stop if he was Edsel and most fans told him that they knew he was Edsel. Xero played dumb and acted as if it were not true. Xero made several funny posts including a reference to Bruce Jenner being the person behind his mask. When asked about who made the Xero mask he stated that it was made by Laney (Chantal, wife of former Marilyn Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez) and that she was designing his a brand new mask for future live shows.
A fan asked drummer Ken Jay of the new Static-X record would include a new version of “Bled For Days” with Xero on vocals. Ken replied, “That would be interesting.”
When a fan mentioned former guitarist Tripp Eisen someone replied, “We do not talk about him here.”
Static-X formed in 1994 and became a popular band in the nu-metal scene with hits like "Push It" and "I'm With Stupid" off their debut release "Wisconsin Death Trip".
In 2009 Static-X was down to one original member, Wayne Static and he carried on the band until 2014 when he passed away.
In 2018 the surviving members of Static-X decided to reform the band and release a record called "Project Regeneration" which featured new, unreleased material as a tribute to Wayne. The band's 2019 tour was a huge success with most shows selling out.
On Friday, May 22, 2020 an irate Guns N Roses fan called in to Eddie’s radio show to inform Eddie that Axl Rose does not owe him an interview (Listen to the call at the above link!). The backstory to the call stems from a few years ago when Eddie claims that Axl Rose told Eddie he would give him an exclusive interview, which never happened. Trunk has indeed interviewed Axl several times and Trunk has stated on more than one occasion that Axl owes him an interview. Trunk is unaware that he name drops constantly and tells the same stories over and over again (We all know you are besties with Ace Frehley! lol).
When the caller told Eddie that Axl did not owe him anything Trunk seemed at a loss for words and didn’t know how to react when confronted with an opinion other than his own. Trunk did not reply to the caller until after he hung up on him.
On Monday, May 25, 2020 via their official Twitter page KISS posted that in 2006 they performed at the “Rock Honors” in Las Vegas. Eddie Trunk posted a reply saying, “Significant also in Ace Frehley who was not allowed to play with KISS, ended up playing with the tribute band to KISS that also included Scott Ian, Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke, and Slash.
A Twitter poster going by the handle “George N. Piandes, Esp.” made a post with an image of Stewart, the nerdy kid from Beavis & Butt-head, with an Ace Frehley picture on his shirt, the caption read, “And you wonder why they don’t like you?”. Trunk was tagged in the post.
Trunk then replied back, “Really? Stating truth and fact is an issue?? I guess it is to some..I mean I was there. I know exactly what went on. I was a co producer on the show. Crazy me posting the absolute truth on how the evening transpired..”
George N. Piandes, Esp. replied back: “No, It’s that you harp on the same stuff every single time! You instigate, you troll. You don’t do this about other bands who have had breakups. Paul, Gene, Ace, and Peter are not as contentious as other bands that broke up but you love to stir the pot. Let it Go Man.
Other comments in the thread were quite amusing. Yes, KISS fans are loyal to an extreme, but Eddie does harp on the same things over and over again which annoys everyone. Eddie has stated many times on his show that Paul Stanley keeps Gene Simmons from going on Trunk Nation because Paul Stanley does not like Eddie Trunk.
