John Allen and the CCD boys rocked Soundstage on Easter Eve; the show was not only a rock show but also doubled as a video shoot for the bands upcoming single from their soon to be released 3rd record.

Victims of Experience did a kick ass job of opening & included in their set was an obscure Halestorm cover.

Charm City Devils opened with “Spite” and their live show has evolved to include several songs from each record as well as random inter spliced covers. “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath was teased just before they went into “My Bottle” by Child’s Play which was another teaser that led into the first sets closer, “Let’s Rock N Roll”.

Led Zep & Hendrix riffs were infused randomly and “10,000 Miles” was the surprise of the night because the band had asked fans online which song they’d like to hear and this was the one they requested. “10,000 Miles” is rarely played live and the song itself sounded great with it’s simple British Invasion styled progression.

Of the 3 new songs played this night “Crucified” was my personal favorite. “Crucified” is a crunchy rocker that’s blues soaked and features something new to the bands music.... John Allen playing harmonica!

After the first set ended CCD came back for a one song encore. “Unstoppable” closed the night on a high note and within 5 minutes of the shows ending the entire band came out to meet, take pictures and talk to a long line of fans who were waiting to meet them.
