Lita Ford Set List: Larger Than Life, Relentless, Bitch, Hungry, Falling In And Out of Love, Gotta Let Go, Shot of Poison, Livin’ Like A Runaway, Devil, Can’t Catch Me, Out For Blood, Cherry Bomb, Black Leather, Close My Eyes Forever, Kiss Me Deadly

Lita, Patrick, Marty, and Bobby tore up Maryland Live! Casino on September 17, 2015 with a 90 minute blast of hard rock which covered Lita Ford’s career quite well.

Doors were supposed to open at 6 PM but soundcheck ran late and a small line formed inside the casino awaiting doors to open. “Gotta Let Go” was performed in pieces a few times and a tease of “Looks That Kill” by Motley Crue ended the soundcheck.

I was a little let down with the low turn out; the venue floor was seated and looking at the room it was clear that it was 1/2 packed with plenty of empty seats.

Lita took the stage a few minutes after 8 PM and her intro was “Balls To The Wall” by Accept which set the mood perfectly. “Larger Than Life” was the show opener and sounded strong. Lita was in good spirits, interacted with her band, smiled throughout the show, and thanked the crowd repeatedly.

This version of the Lita Ford band features Patrick Kennison from Union Underground on guitar and I joked with Patrick after the show about how I’d never seen him play guitar solo’s with his previous band! He repied that with Nu-Metal there were no solo’s allowed!

“Hungry” was played early in the set and “Falling In and Out of Love” was probably the most touching moment in the set.

Towards the end of the show Lita tossed out “Cherry Bomb” by The Runaways and “Black Leather” which was written by Steve Jones.

“Close My Eyes Forever” featured a beautiful duet between Patrick and Lita and “Kiss Me Deadly” was the nights closer. For what it’s worth Lita still has the same energy, same vibe, and same charsima which made her a hair metal icon back in the 80’s.
