 The Scum Dogs of the Universe returned once again to slap Baltimore in the face with it’s double dong drenching assault of the senses.

 Sacred Reich were direct support and their thrash metal style fit the bill perfectly.  Reich played a no frill set which featured “Independent” and set closure “Surf Nicarogua”.  Mixed amongst their set were several new songs that sounded like old school Reich with heavy guitars, fast pace, and intense vocals.

 At the GWAR Merch table were several Guns N Roses styled merch items which coincided with the bands current tour theme.  The parody featured artwork similar to “Use Your Illusion” with an image of Donald Trump emblazoned on a toilet.

 This current version of Gwar featured original bassist Casey Orr back with the band as Beefcake.

The current Gwar show flows fast, there are several new elements including “Caitlyn Jenner” and “Donald Trump” being killed onstage, and the stage set up felt a tad smaller than previous tours.

 “If You Want Blood” by AC/DC was the show closer.

 The venue was around half packed with the entire upstairs being totally shut off.  By the time Gwar finished their show it was close to midnight and the majority of the venue was soaked in a solution which left everyone dyed red, blue, or green.

Despite numerous line up changes, GWAR remains one of the most creative, inventive, and original acts on the road today.  Their stage show is legendary, their music is crude, and their legacy is one of a kind.  Long Live The Scum Dogs!
