Eddie Trunk aired a brand new interview with former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley on his birthday, April 27, 2020 on his Sirius XM radio show and when Trunk asked Ace about KISS this is what he said:
Trunk: Have you heard anything from the KISS camp at all?
Trunk: Just Silence, Nothing?
Ace: Well, I texted Paul and Gene last week and just wished them well and I got a text from Doc (McGhee), everybody’s ok, thank God, Eric Singer has been sending me some silly texts (laughs), Eric and I always got along really well on the road. Everything’s cool, I mean so what’s gonna happen is gonna happen but everything is delayed at this juncture so who knows? Who know’s what’s going to happen so I take one day at a time, I always have since I got sober 13 years ago and that’s the way I live my life.
Trunk: I know you’ve gone about your business as KISS winds down everybodies talking about and hoping that you play with them but you’re going about your own business and unless you get an invite there’s nothing that you can do, you’re just going to worry about your own thing, right?
Ace: I’m doing my own thing ya know, I’m not saying, If they come forward and the price is right…(if not) you’re not going to see me anywhere close by. (laughs)
Ace Frehley turned 69 years old this year (2020) and KISS bassist Gene Simmons has been quoted as saying that KISS would not resume their tour until there was a cure for Coronavirus.
